Hey, I’m Vittina!

I am a journalist and filmmaker based in Southern California where I was born to the most amazing parents and the village (not literally) who helped raise me. As a second-gen American and first-gen student, my parents supported me to try whatever I wanted and fell in love with the creative, fostering the artist I am today.

Besides music, acting was the first thing I fell in love with but grew frustrated with the lack of characters and stories created for someone like me to embody—that I wanted to embody. So I thought I’d try becoming the storyteller and make change behind the scenes and stage.

From there, I fell in love with writing and pursued journalism in college. I became inspired by the lives of real people and wanted to help share the extraordinary narratives I found lucky enough to cross my life. I feel the most capable and fulfilled writing about arts and culture, specifically film, television and theater.

I want to make people feel. I want to feel. I want to make an impact and be excited and make other people excited about the things going on in the world around us.
